EA Sports Bans NCAA video game

The 2014 edition of the popular NCAA football game has been banned amid the lawsuits against EA sports for using the likeness of the athletes for years without compensation to the players.  The lawsuit may include the fiancial compensation of every player that has been used in the game for the past 10 years.  EA has filed papers in court that have suggested they plan to pay out around 40 million to former players used in the game.  "There's nothing stopping [EA] from making the game, so long as they don't use players' names, images or likenesses. Or [they could] pay the students, which they didn't really agree to," said Aragon. If current players were to receive money, then the result would be an NCAA violation by rule, however the NCAA would consider allowing it as part of the suit
